We take health care to the village, so families don't go without.
For families in flood-prone north Bihar, losing months of work every year leaves little to spend on a doctor. Our health work brings care to where people live: free camps in villages and schools, where doctors examine patients, give advice and refer those who need treatment.
Over the years our camps have carried out more than 1,500 eye tests and 250 eye operations and issued over 20,000 health cards. We held student health camps in schools across three districts, and during COVID-19 we supported more than 20,000 people with ration kits, masks and health supplies. On 30 December 2024, with Mithila Minority Dental College & Hospital, Darbhanga, we ran a free dental screening camp for children, women and elderly villagers.
