Why this campaign matters
Young people in rural Darbhanga may hear about courses and jobs but still struggle to use them. A student may not know which course suits them, how to apply, what it costs or where to get help. Families with little income have little room for travel, fees or time away from earning, and girls may also face limits on travel and household duties. These difficulties can interrupt education and narrow future choices. In Bihar, 9% of upper-primary students (Classes 6 to 8) drop out each year, against 3.6% across India (UDISE+ school data).
How your donation helps
Nai Disha – Naya Bhavishya is our educational awareness and career guidance campaign. In schools and villages we explain study, skills and career routes in simple Hindi and, where it helps, Maithili, with paper and blackboard activities so no one needs a smartphone to take part.We then stay with each learner: answering questions, helping with applications and documents, checking costs and eligibility, and following up when a young person starts a course or a job. So far Nai Disha has reached more than 4,500 people in at least 27 schools and 20 villages, and more than 1,200 of them have had repeated sessions or follow-up.
